The Poetical Works of Thomas Moore, c1885 Antique Illustrated Poetry Book

Hardbound cloth with a black and orange decorative design on the cover and spine, with the title in black on both the spine and front board. The title on the spine in a gold gilt text box, with gold gilt flowers to both the spine and from board. The front cover also has Pegasus flying through a decorative circle. The spine back strip has slight wear top and bottom but boards are in very beautiful condition. All corners have slight wear and only minimal bumping to the lower corners. Spine is straight with no cracking to the decorative endpapers, hinges are strong. The overall text block is solid with gold gilt along all sides and with all pages firmly attached. Tissue guard intact over frontispiece. Age tanning throughout, darkening along all the interior page edges outside the red border on each page. Previous owner name and date on the front free endpaper. All interior pages are clean with no tears, cracks, or other previous owner marks. 670 pages. Dimensions: H – 7-1/2” W – 5”
